AWH Special College is an initiative from the AWH Trust and is formed in order to develop and groom people with high competency and diversified skills in the field of medical treatment and other social services for the disabled. Established in 1996, in a modest way, in the picturesque backdrop of the historic Kallai River, today, AWH Special College is one of the prominent colleges under the University of Calicut, offering all modern amenities in education. The college has secured several ranks in Physiotherapy and Computer Science during the past several years.
AWH Special College offers several job oriented courses, all of which are affiliated to the University of Calicut. Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) offered by AWH is a course that has excellent opportunity both for a rewarding career and social service. The BPT course has been designed with 4 year duration along with a 6 months internship. Bachelor in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology (BASLP)is yet another course offered at AWH. On successful completion of the said course, one can get placed both in India and abroad. BSc in Computer Science, BSc in Electronics, BSc in Geology and BSc in Genetics are the other career oriented courses being offered by AWH Special College.
